Mind your P's and Q's!!

This month, with his permission, I am pleased to offer you a past audio lesson by Mark Brown, 1995 World Champion of Public Speaking. He has called this lesson "Mind your P's and Q's." This education session is one of the four that Champions’ Edge members receive in CD format on a monthly basis. Individual weekly lessons come to us via the internet.

Mike Brown

Opening:
It’s likely that when you were a child, your parents may have told you to mind your P's and Q's when you were going out or visiting friends? It may interest you to know that you can apply P’s and Q’s to your speaking.

Promise:
You will hear Mark’s thinking on ‘Minding your P's and Q's’ as it relates to your speaking, so you will end up with a great speaking product.

Roadmap:
Mark shares five P and Q points on preparation and presentation of speeches:

Poetry and Quotations
  Preponderance and Quantity
  Pace and Quickness
  Pause and Quietness
  Power and Quality

Ladies and gentlemen, it is my pleasure to introduce to you the 1995 World Champion of Public Speaking….. MARK BROWN!

Sit back, listen, take notes, and enjoy the learning!

Which P's and Q's will you be attempting to incorporate in your next speech?

If you’re interested in hearing more audio lessons from the champions, you may go back to my October 2007 newsletter on "Introductions" where you can hear Craig Valentine, the 1999 W.C.P.S. speak on how to create your own introductions.
